Undergraduate Scholarships for Students Outwith the EU @ University of Edinburgh, UK- Subject: Any subject

Description:  20 scholarships are available for the 2011-2012 session with each award worth £2,000 per year. Awards are tenable for the duration of the programme of study.
The scholarships are competitive and awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit.
They are awarded to students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for undergraduate study at the University of Edinburgh.
Students already on a programme are not eligible.
Applicants must also be nationals of a country outwith the EU

Undergraduate Scholarships for International Students @ University of Queensland, Australia- Subject: Any Subject

Description: .The scholarships are available for international students who have completed senior high school overseas equivalent to Queensland Year 12 (eg. A Levels, International Baccalaureate, etc). The scholarship is not available to students who have already commenced a postsecondary qualification or who are already studying in Australia. The successful applicants must be classed as an international student in Australia (Australian permanent residents and Australian citizens are not eligible).

The scholarship is a one-off reduction in your commencing tuition fees to the value of AUD$6000

Requirements: Candiadate must have a score that equates to a Queensland Tertiary Education rank of 96.  Must not be recipients of another scholarship
 Must be applying for the full program – not an articulation or requesting credit (other than the IB credit)
Must have a full unconditional offer
 The application must be complete including a personal statement
 Excludes quota programs
Deadline: 31 October the prior year for a Semester 1 commencement
30 April the same year for a Semester 2 commencement

Research Fellowships@ CEU Professorial and CEU Visiting, Hungary to Citizens of Countries in Central and Eastern Europe (Except EU Member States)

Description:  The Research Fellowship Programs are applicable to citizens of countries in Central and Eastern Europe (except EU member states), the former Soviet Union of Mongolia holding a Ph. D. or equivalent, who are affiliated with a teaching or research institution within the above said countries.The program supports two types of Research Fellows. CEU Professorial Research Fellows hold a full professorship, and are academics of established (preferably national) standing within their discipline. CEU Visiting Research Fellows are academics who have made a contribution to their discipline through publications, conference presentations, or other academic forums. Fellows are supported for a period of from one to six months, depending upon the type of research being undertaken. Both types of Fellowship cover accommodation and travel costs to/from Budapest (up to a maximum limit and after approval from the program coordinator), during the period of the Fellowship,

Monthly stipend. CEU Visiting Fellows will receive $900 per month, and CEU Professorial Fellows – $1500 per month.

Description:The (ILRI) works at the crossroads of livestock and poverty, bringing high-quality livestock science, communications and capacity building to bear on poverty reduction and sustainable development. ILRI is one of 15 centres supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). ILRI has campuses in Kenya (headquarters) and Ethiopia, with other offices located in other regions of Africa (Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria) as well as in South Asia (India, Sri Lanka), Southeast Asia (Laos, Thailand, Vietnam) and East Asia (China).

Requirements Candidates must have a PhD degree obtained no more than 5 years ago in the field of microbiology, immunology or molecular biology
