Doctoral Fellowship at Faculty of Pharmacy in pharmacy, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry



Description:.We are looking for an applicant with a M.Sc. degree in a scientific discipline relevant to the tasks (such as pharmacy, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry). Preferably the applicant should have experience on cell-based screening assays and on analysis of screening data. The applicant must be fluent in English and possess excellent team and communication skills.
Salary:The salary for the present post will be based on levels 2–4 of the demands level chart for teaching and research personnel in the salary system of Finnish universities. In addition, the appointee will be paid a salary component based on personal work performance. The salary range will be between EUR 2,000 and 3,000 per month depending on the qualifications and previous experience of the appointee.

Requirements: Students and postdocs with good academic records and strong skills in Applied bioinformatics, functional genomics, evolutionary biology and molecular biology are welcome to apply to any of the positions. Knowledge in plant or forest pathology and mycology are considered as additional merits. A good knowledge of English is required.
Stipend: Postdoctoral researchers will be, between 34 000 and 49 000 (postdocs), and between 23 600 and 42 000 (doctoral students) euros per annum.


According to University of Helsinki Statutes a person selected for the post of postdoctoral researcher is required to have a doctoral degree and the ability to do independent scientific work as well as having the necessary teaching skills.

Description: Scholarships will be awarded for studies in Sweden mainly on second cycle (Master’s level) from autumn 2011. Scholarships will cover both living costs and tuition fees. A few scholarships will be awarded for studies at first cycle (undergraduate) level.
No Of Scholarships: About 80-100 scholarships will be offered for the academic year 2011/2012.
Eligibility:The scholarships are intended for guest students belonging to the above mentioned target group for full time temporary studies in Sweden starting in fall semester 2011. There is no age limit for scholarship holders.The scholarship is only awarded for programs starting in fall semester 2011. The scholarships are usually granted for one academic year, i.e. for two semesters at a time, but will be extended for programs longer than two semesters provided that study results are satisfactory.

Eligibility:(a) Candidates should be Indian Nationals;
(b) Candidates should have an adequate general education to pursue their training effectively;
(c) Candidates must give evidence of their desire to make the pursuit of their training effectively;
(d) As the scholarships are meant for advanced training and not for beginners, candidates must have already acquired a degree of proficiency in the chosen field.
(e) The candidate should have undergone a minimum of 5 years training with their Guru/Institutes. The Certificate to this effect in Part II of the Proforma duly signed by the present Guru / Institute and former Guru/ Institute (if any) should be submitted along with the application;
(f) Candidates should have an adequate knowledge in the connected arts/ disciplines.

(g) The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st April of the year in which the application is being made. Age relaxation is not permissible.

Graduate, Postgraduate Scholarships @ Central Board of Secondary Education for College and University Students – 2010, India-Any Subject


Eligibility:a. The applicant should be an Indian national
The applicant should be pursuing higher studies and have taken admission in Under Graduation regular course (not correspondence or distance mode) from recognized Educational Institutions in India

b. The applicant should not be availing any other scholarship
c. Total Annual Income of parents of the applicant from all sources should not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh per annum
d. The applicant should not belong to creamy layer as defined by DoP&T from time to time. (Govt. of India, Dept. of Per. & Trg., OM No. 36033/S/2004-Estt. (Res.), dated 14-10-2004) (This is applicable to all categories of applicants both ‘general’ and ‘reserved’.
Mode of Disbursal of Scholarship:
a. Scholarship amount shall be sent to the selected candidate’s Bank Account only by ECS (Electronic Clearing System) mode.

b. Applicants are requested to open Bank Account in his/her name in a branch of any Scheduled Nationalised/ commercial Bank which has ECS facility. Applicants are advised to provide their Bank Account number, Bank Name and detail address of the Bank and the correct RTGS/NEFT branch code of the Bank.
c. No request for sending the amount of scholarship by Draft or in account of parents or joint account will be entertained
