PhD Fellowship - Sasakawa Young Leaders Foundation Fellowship (SYLFF) @Howard University,USA- Subject: Any subject


Description: The Sasakawa Young Leaders Foundation Fellowship (SYLFF) is designed to provide full financial support to outstanding Ph.D. students admitted to candidacy with a research concentration in international affairs and/or world peace. The SYLFF fellowship is a competitive, merit-based award and is offered upon the recommendation by the SYLFF Advisory Committee at Howard University.
Stipend: Full tuition and fees and a stipend of $15,000 for one academic year, renewable for no more than two years. The fellowship also includes a research award of up to $2,000 over the two- year period ($500 of the research award may be used for educational supplies, and $1,500 for dissertation research related travel expenses).

Eligibility: Candidates must be advanced to Ph.D. candidacy with research and career interest in international affairs and/or world peace. Students must be enrolled full-time with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Domestic and International students are eligible for this award.

Graduate Fellowships for National and International students @ American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, USA- Subject: study of relationships among people and their personal environments in order to strengthen communities


Description: The American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) awards graduate fellowships to individuals who have exhibited the potential to make contributions to the family and consumer sciences profession. Individuals who receive a graduate fellowship will receive financial support for the study of family and consumer sciences and a commemorative certificate. The name of the recipient and fellowship won will be reported in the AAFCS Annual Conference Program Book. Also, recipients of some fellowships will receive support toward one year of AAFCS membership and participation in the AAFCS Annual Conference & Exposition, where the fellowship award will be presented.
The field of family and consumer sciences (FCS) encompasses the study of relationships among people and their personal environments in order to strengthen communities and advance the well-being of individuals and families over their lifespan. FCS is rooted in the arts, social and natural sciences, and humanities.
Requirements:Before completing a fellowship application, a potential applicant should consider the following eligibility requirements, keeping in mind that there are two types of fellowships, national and international:
• To qualify for the national fellowships, an applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
To qualify for the AAFCS-Kittrell and D. Elizabeth Williams International Graduate Fellowships, an applicant must be a citizen of a country other than the United States.
To qualify for the Helen Strow and Ethel L. Parker International Graduate Fellowships, an applicant can be a student from another country or a citizen of the United States who has specific goals related to study in another country.

Association of south africa offers ANGUS SAWISE SCHOLARSHIP


Each year SA WISE awards the Angus Scholarship, to a Sub-Saharan black woman graduate with 70% or above grade average in her subject of study. The scholarship is awarded for 1 year of tertiary study at Honours level (or 4th year level of study) in any field of science and engineering. South African applicants will be given preference. The successful applicant should become an active member of SAWISE.

Associatsion of Women South Africa offers SAWISE-ELEMENT SIX SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility and conditions of award:
Awarded to a female student for full time study at Honours (4th year) level in Chemistry, Physics, Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering at any South African University. Successful applicant should become actively involved in SAWISE. Element Six will arrange a visit to their research lab for the successful applicant, and they would like a copy of the awardee’s major research project at the end of the year.
