Description: Research fellowship for researchers from Egypt and South Africa in the field of Nanotechnology,Remote sensing and space science,ICT,Biotechnology (food production, agriculture and health), Laser technology.The Republic of South Africa and the Arab Republic of Egypt signed an Agreement forcooperation in science and technology on 28 October 1998. As part of enhancing scientific and technological cooperation, the two countries have decided to jointly support researchers from public universities and public research institutes on an equal
and mutually beneficial basis.
Stipend: Successful projects in South Africa will be funded up to a maximum amount of R300000 over two years. Egyptian projects will receive the equivalent in the national currency.Researchers should therefore note that two separate budgets would be required from each side. Researchers should take note that they will be responsible for their own
international travel, subsistence and accommodation.
