: Research fellowship for researchers from Egypt and South Africa in the field of Nanotechnology,Remote sensing and space science,ICT,Biotechnology (food production, agriculture and health), Laser technology.The Republic of South Africa and the Arab Republic of Egypt signed an Agreement forcooperation in science and technology on 28 October 1998. As part of enhancing scientific and technological cooperation, the two countries have decided to jointly support researchers from public universities and public research institutes on an equal
and mutually beneficial basis.
Stipend: Successful projects in South Africa will be funded up to a maximum amount of R300000 over two years. Egyptian projects will receive the equivalent in the national currency.Researchers should therefore note that two separate budgets would be required from each side. Researchers should take note that they will be responsible for their own
international travel, subsistence and accommodation.

Sasakawa Young Leaders Foundation PHD Fellowship (SYLFF), @ Howard University: USA- Subject: Any subject


Description: Fellowship for domestic and international students.The Sasakawa Young Leaders Foundation Fellowship (SYLFF) is designed to provide full financial support to outstanding Ph.D. students admitted to candidacy with a research concentration in international affairs and/or world peace. The SYLFF fellowship is a competitive, merit-based award and is offered upon the recommendation by the SYLFF Advisory Committee at Howard University.
Eligibility: Candidates must be advanced to Ph.D. candidacy with research and career interest in international affairs and/or world peace. Students must be enrolled full-time with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Domestic and International students are eligible for this award.
Terms: Full tuition and fees and a stipend of $15,000 for one academic year, renewable for no more than two years. The fellowship also includes a research award of up to $2,000 over the two- year period ($500 of the research award may be used for educational supplies, and $1,500 for dissertation research related travel expenses).

 Description: Up to six Felix Scholarships will be offered at University of Oxford / University of Reading / School of Oriental and African Studies for Indian graduates.
.Felix Scholarships will be offered at each of the three institutions above for Indian graduates taking up places in September/October 2011 for:
(i) Taught postgraduate Master’s courses (MSc, MAgrSc, MA, LLM, etc.) = 1 or 2 academic years or
(ii) Master’s degrees by research (MPhil) = 2 academic years or
(iii) Doctoral degrees by research (PhD/DPhil) = 3 academic years
Please note that not all of the above programmes are available at each institution.
Felix Scholarships are intended for scholars who would be unable, without financial assistance, to take up their place and who have not studied outside their home country. You should ensure that you apply for the correct course, as applications for an extension of a course or other additional funding will not be considered. Candidates must not, once installed at the relevant university, apply for any scholarship that would interfere with the tenure of the Felix Scholarship.
2. Application for a Felix Scholarship can be made through only one of the three academic institutions. Candidates must already have submitted a formal application for admission through one of the institutions before applying for a Felix Scholarship.
3. Commencing the academic year 2007/08 the Felix Scholarship will permit Felix Master’s alumni who have obtained a Distinction to apply for a PhD/DPhil Felix scholarship. Exactly the same criteria and application process will apply to Felix Master’s alumni as apply to any other candidate applying for a PhD/DPhil scholarship. Only one such scholarship will be granted to each university per year. Candidates should take into account the fact that because the results of Master’s examinations are notified after the commencement of an academic year, there will be a one-year gap between finishing a Master’s course and commencing a PhD/DPhil course.
4. Candidates must apply direct to Oxford/Reading/SOAS for admission to the course they wish to study. Detailed advice on such matters as course application forms, arrangements for fieldwork, etc., will be available on request from any of the three institutions (but about their own courses only). Applications for admission to courses should be submitted as early as possible.
5. The Felix Scholarships will cover full fees, living costs, a return air fare, and provide additional allowances for books, equipment, warm clothing etc. Spouses’ costs will not be met. Candidates must be Indian citizens and not currently be living or studying outside of India and must have not previously studied for one year or more outside India. Candidates must be under 30 years of age on 31 January 2011. Candidates must have at least a first class Bachelor’s degree from an Indian university or comparable institution. Exceptionally those with an upper second-class degree at the Bachelor’s level may be considered if they hold a first class degree at the Master’s level. Those who already hold degrees from universities outside India are not eligible to apply. Those who have already taken up a scholarship to pursue PhD studies at an Indian university are also not eligible for a Felix Scholarship.

Chancellor’s Scholarships for International PhD Students @Warwick University, UK- Subject: Any subject



Description:Students and applicants who wish to apply for an AHRC doctoral award should apply to the WPRS competition and will automatically be considered for both competitions. More details on applying for an AHRC doctoral award are available here.
This competition, unlike most postgraduate funding, is open to Home, EU, and Overseas students from all disciplines at Warwick, and offers an equal award to all.
Applications :* Applicants for a full-time doctoral course at the University of Warwick, expecting to begin in Autumn 2011.
* Students currently enrolled on a three-year full-time PhD or MPhil/PhD (in the case of the Faculties of Arts, Medicine and Social Science), at the University of Warwick may apply in the first year of their registration only.
* University of Warwick students currently registered on a “1+3″ course at a Doctoral Training Centre, who are in their Master’s year and expecting to start doctoral study in 2011-12. These students will be eligible for a three-year WPRS or (if paying overseas fees) a Chancellor’s International Scholarship.
* University of Warwick students currently registered on the “2+2” MPhil > PhD course in the Department of Philosophy may apply for a postgraduate research scholarship in either (or both) the first and second years of their MPhil. Students applying in the first year will be eligible for a three year WPRS or (if an overseas fees-payer) a Chancellor’s International Scholarship. Students applying in their second year will be eligible for a two year WPRS, or (if a UK or EU student) a two year AHRC doctoral award, or (if an overseas fees-payer) a Chancellor’s International Scholarship. No student will be permitted to apply for a WPRS/Chancellor’s International Scholarship on more than two occasions. UK or EU Students will be eligible to apply (via a separate process) for an AHRC Master’s award to fund their two-year MPhil.
