Description:.We are looking for an applicant with a M.Sc. degree in a scientific discipline relevant to the tasks (such as pharmacy, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry). The applicant must be fluent in English and possess excellent team and communication skills.
Salary:The salary for the present post will be based on levels 2–4 of the demands level chart for teaching and research personnel in the salary system of Finnish universities. In addition, the appointee will be paid a salary component based on personal work performance. The salary range will be between EUR 2,000 and 3,000 per month depending on the qualifications and previous experience of the appointee.

Description: Scholarships will be awarded for studies in Sweden mainly on second cycle (Master’s level) from autumn 2011. Scholarships will cover both living costs and tuition fees. A few scholarships will be awarded for studies at first cycle (undergraduate) level.
No Of Scholarships: About 80-100 scholarships will be offered for the academic year 2011/2012.
Eligibility:The scholarships are intended for guest students belonging to the above mentioned target group for full time temporary studies in Sweden starting in fall semester 2011. There is no age limit for scholarship holders.The scholarship is only awarded for programs starting in fall semester 2011. The scholarships are usually granted for one academic year, i.e. for two semesters at a time, but will be extended for programs longer than two semesters provided that study results are satisfactory.

Description: The successful PhD candidate will be working under two SEAT Work Packages that examine: (1) the social and economic dynamics of value chains for selected aquaculture products; and (2) the role of standards and certifications in governing such value chains. The overall objectives of this work are:
· Examine the configuration of global value chains for aquatic products originating in two Asian countries, their governance structures and upgrading possibilities, and the role of standards in shaping governance and upgrading; assess the entry barriers, structure of rewards and demands on quality and logistics that arise for actors at different levels.
· Compare different institutional arrangements to link small and medium producers
to these value chains and evaluate how national and international policy and regulatory frameworks for fisheries and trade facilitate or hinder integration in value chains for aquatic products.
· Analyse the costs and benefits, and inclusion and exclusion thresholds, for particular groups of producers (i.e. small and medium producers), countries or regions for production and marketing of cultured seafood.

Description: Scholarship recipients may pursue an undergraduate degree in an eligible field at one of the three host institutions. Recipients will also be expected to engage in community service activities and participate in internships.
