Description: The position aims at finding novel safe and optimal methods to nowadays most urgent claims against ITS by developing fault tolerant and energy efficient solutions. The applicant should have an interest in both academic and applied research to be successful. We invite candidates interested in ground transport and traffic applications to submit their application.

Applicants should hold an M.Sc. degree (civilingenjörsexamen) in, preferably, mechanical, electrical, control or transportation engineering resp. engineering physics or related fields.

Good analytical and communication (both oral and written) skills and ability to work independently as well as become an active team member. Excellent command of English language is needed.

Knowledge of software like MATLAB, VISSIM, C++ is an advantage. As PhD positions also involve taking part in the undergraduate education, and teaching activities in the B.Sc. programs are conducted in Swedish (English in M.Sc. programs), Swedish language is also an advantage.

Description: The research environment is international and candidates of any nationality are welcome to apply. This research is focused on methods and algorithms for digital communication systems. We study systems such as the next generation wireless cellular communication systems, vehicular communication to enable certain important vehicular traffic safety applications, fibre-optic communication systems, and hardware-constrained communications. Our research is diverse in nature and includes fundamental and application-driven as well as disciplinary and multidisciplinary projects. We are heavily involved in the master program Communication Engineering. The Division employs about 25 persons, a number that will increase in the near future, as we have been successful in attracting research grants. Chalmers University of Technology is located in Gothenburg on the scenic west coast of Sweden. It is among the top research schools in Europe..

Requirements: Candidates mush have *: 1). Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Applied Math, or similar, and high grades in the core courses. 2). you should have an interest in digital communications and wireless systems.

3). A strong background in mathematics is required; knowledge of positioning and tracking is an advantage. Furthermore, an interest in interdisciplinary work with researchers and engineers from other fields is essential, as are skills in simulation techniques.

4). You should be fluent in English, have good collaboration skills, and be able to communicate your results in writing and in presentations.

PhD Position in Theoretical Nuclear Physics and Quantum Few-Body Physics, @ Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden- Subject: Physics or Engineering Physics

Description: The Ph.D. research project will lie within one, or several, of these fields. Description: This postdoc position has one year duration .Depending on the results of the first year’s study and the industrial interest, the Board of Chase may decide to extend both the size and duration of the project. The research will be to investigate the use of gap waveguides in radio links above 30 GHz, in collaboration with local industry and the antenna group.The employed person will work part of the time in an industrial environment, where he/she will learn about specifications and present state of the art in radio link RF technology. This knowledge will then be used to investigate
