POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS(3 Post) DOCTORAL STUDENT POSITIONS( 2 Post)@ Helsinki in fungal pathobiology


 Time Period: Two years for postdoctoral researchers and four years for doctoral students.

 Subject: We are looking to recruit highly motivated postdocs and doctoral students to work in Applied bioinformatics, Functional genomics, Evolutionary fungal biology, or Fungal molecular biology with primary focus on developing a comparative genomics platform on Fungal Pathobiology.
Qualifications: A postdoctoral researcher is required to have a doctoral degree and the ability to do independent scientific work as well as having the necessary teaching skills.
A person selected for the post of doctoral student is required to have a Master’s degree and an accepted research plan. In addition, he/she is required to have shown, when acquiring his/her degree and otherwise, the ability and motivation for postgraduate studies and completion of a doctoral degree in accordance with a study and research plan.
Applicants: Students and postdocs with good academic records and strong skills in Applied bioinformatics, functional genomics, evolutionary biology and molecular biology are welcome to apply to any of the positions. Knowledge in plant or forest pathology and mycology are considered as additional merits. A good knowledge of English is required.
The salary for postdoctoral researchers will be, depending on the appointee’s performance and experience approximately between 34 000 and 49 000 (postdocs), and between 23 600 and 42 000 (doctoral students) euros per annum.
